Nina Urku
Nina Urku is the main community project managed by the Fuoco Sacro Association.
Nina Urku, meaning “Mountain of Fire” in Quechua, represents a significant fusion of traditions and cultures taking place in the land of the Mount Etna volcano, our great Mountain of Fire. This name pays homage to our deep alliance and syncretism between the Sumak Kawsay tradition, represented by the Kichwa name, and the practice of the Vision Quest.
For over 12 years, Nina Urku has been held annually in Italian territory, offering individuals and communities the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature and connect with their spirituality through a journey of self-exploration and transformation. This practice reflects respect for the land and the culture of Native American peoples, while we root ourselves in our Sicilian land.
Through Nina Urku, we aim to promote awareness, healing, and personal growth, encouraging a deep connection with nature and a sense of belonging to the global community. We are committed to cultivating a space for reflection and shared growth, where everyone can find inspiration and support for their spiritual journey. Welcome to Nina Urku, where the fire of transformation burns bright and inviting for all those seeking to discover their purpose and connection with the world around them.
